Slow progress

I'm still working on Flétta; I've finished one sleeve and 95% completed the other. I would have finished Flétta already but I've just started a new job (bank teller) - one that I think will work out very well for me. This is my second week of training and it's going very well so far. I did make some progress on the double eyelet socks, however (not that you can tell from my 5 am photo session). I have to wake up before my sweet little monster, okay? Here's his photo, for no particular reason.

I don't know why, but lately I keep thinking about trying my hand at spinning again. I still have my spindle and 2 rovings, and it bothers me that I couldn't get the hang of it last time I tried.

1 week = 1 month

Right?
I have been faithfully plugging away at the sleeves for flétta; I'm using magic loop to do both of them at the same time. Sleeves always seem to take forever.
Today, I used turkish cast-on for the first time, and it was a success right off the bat! I was a little surprised at myself - I don't quickly pick up new techniques. I still have to focus to stop myself from making my yfwds (yos) backwards. I frogged my hederas - I didn't like the way the patt was turning out; I'm making Wendy's double eyelet toe-up socks with the same yarn instead.
I did start the tangled yoke cardigan - I couldn't keep myself from the felted tweed.
I have to cut down on new projects - and my stash!!!

I've been knitting ...

So I've been neglecting my little blog; I want to begin posting more regularly.
Maybe once a week, if I'm lucky. I finished Aftur on 5 January for my sister's birthday. She really loves it. I made an album for Aftur - it's on the side bar. Since then, I've been plugging away on Flétta 2.0. I'm nearly finished the body, which only leaves the sleeves and collar to do. My coworker commissioned a hat last week - the Tweedy Beret (sans i-cord) from the A Cardigan For Arwen issue of Interweave Knits. I am using black Jaeger Extra Fine Merino Aran. It's going well since I gave up on the dpns and just started over with a pair of circs (magic loop, I love ya).
Bye for now!
